Some most-favorite recommendations for your stay

Please refer to Google Maps or Apple Maps for updated hours and addresses.

We’ve gathered a few of our go-to spots to help you get the most out of your visit.

The high desert is spread out, so we’ve grouped recommendations by area:
(1) Joshua Tree Downtown — Tiny and charming, this two-stoplight strip is the gateway to the National Park.
(2) Yucca Valley Downtown — Likely where you stopped for groceries or coffee on your way in.
(3) Landers & Pioneertown — A bit further out, with hidden gems and wide open skies.

Our properties are roughly equidistant from all three — perfect for exploring in any direction.

Our Top 3 Favorite Easy Hikes from Groups:

  • Hidden Valley: One-mile easy loop that is a perfect introduction to plant and wildlife in Joshua Tree National Park. The small valley was used for cattle rustling, and it’s surrounded by tall boulders. Great for mixed groups: the more-adventurous can rock-scramble up the boulders, while others can leisurely stroll along the flat path in the valley.
  • Barker Dam : 1.5 mile easy loop. This is a great hike in the winter/spring when there is water in the dam.
  • Skull Rock: 1.7 mile moderate loop. There’s more rock scrambling on this hike, so definitely bring adequate shoes. This is a fun and easy hike for the more adventurous.

Landers/Pioneertown

The sound baths are out of this world. $55/person. Must book early online as it does sell out quickly. Access by reservation only. http://integratron.com/sound-bath

Pioneertown Originally built a movie set for Hollywood Western movies. Now it’s a smattering of local shops and sights. It’s directly adjacent to Pappy + Harriet’s Roadhouse, so park in the same lot and then swing through before/after a meal.

[53626 Mane St, Pioneertown, CA 92268]
